Rakhi Making Activity

Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate bond between brothers and sisters. Digamber School celebrated this day with an aim of strengthening the bond of love and to instill the virtues of love and harmony among the young, growing kiddies. The introduction of the day was given by Ms.Ekta. She explained the students about significance of this auspicious festival .To strengthen the sacred bond, ‘Rakhi Making Activity’ was conducted in the school. All the children participated with great zeal and zest in this creative activity.  They made colourful eye catching rakhis using old material as we have inculcated “Best out of Waste” in them. They also used decorative threads, stars, mirrors, pearls and flowers for making beautiful rakhis. The basic theme behind organizing this activity was to increase creativity of students.

Children were familiarized with the customs and rituals followed on Raksha Bandhan. They were also told how rakhi symbolizes the sister’s love and prayers for the brother’s well-being and his lifelong vow to protect her. The mentors saw a number of creative and colourful rakhis being made by the students. The event definitely brought smiles on the faces of the students who seemed much content with the way the festival was celebrated in the school.
