Eco-Friendly Ganesha Making Activity
Inter-House Classical Dance Competition
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated to mark the advent of the master of all knowledge, intelligence and wisdom, Sri Ganesha. Digamber family celebrated the occasion in a very unique way. We started the celebration, a week prior, by creating eco-friendly Ganesha in classes. Mentors explained them the meaning and scientific reason behind festival and what does physic of Ganesha teach us. The craft teacher demonstrated how to make Ganesha idols with clay in each class. It was our sincere concern to save fast degrading environment due to human activities. The idols of Ganesha, made by our creative learners added beauty to the school premises. The introduction of the day was given by Ms. Arti Yadav.
To continue this festive mood, an Inter House Classical Dance Competition was organized. The students showcased their prowess in classical dance. The charming dancers depicted their feelings and love towards Ganesha through different dance forms. The entire event was spell- binding. The tiny-tots of pre-primary also stole the hearts of the audience with their amazing moves. The students were judged on parameters like costume, expression, dance techniques and body language. The rhythm, presentation and synchronization of the participants entranced the audience as well as judges. They applauded and appreciated the performances.
The competition enabled the students to showcase their talent and enhance their confidence as well. The whole atmosphere was charged with festivity. Finally Veer Sawarkar House was declared as the winner of this competition. We hope that this creative and social concept based activity not only taught students about environment and art, but also enabled children to gain insight of our Indian culture. May the Lord Vighna Vinayaka removes all obstacles and showers everyone with bounties.
Happy Ganesh Chaturthi
