Tell a Tale Competition
Bhajan Recitation and Movie
Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti, the joyous occasion of the birthday of two great patriots ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ and ‘Lal Bahadur Shastri’ was celebrated in the school on 1st October. Since the occasion marks the birth of two national heroes, the assembly began with a talk about their inspiring lives and the sacrifices they have made for the freedom of the country. The famous bhajan “Vaishno Vajanto” was recited in the class. The introduction of the day was given by Ms.Heena Gupta. She urged the students to learn the values and principles, which Gandhiji and Shastriji held dear in their life, like truth, non-violence, respect for all beings, self-discipline, unity, harmony, sharing and caring.
We always encourage students to apply their ideas and present things differently in their own unique way. So this celebration was followed by a Value based tale telling competition which helped the tiny tots to imbibe these values through unique stories. Honourable Chairperson graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the amazing narrators. Finally awards were given to the winners level wise.
A movie was showcased to the students telling them about Gandhiji’s personal and public life, their ideas and perspectives, their associates and activities, their thoughts and perspectives and their spiritual and religious beliefs. The motive behind this competition was to motivate our young minds to follow the footsteps of these great personalities in every walk of life.
