Writing is not just a physical activity done through fingers, but it involves the brain that thinks, converts the thoughts into words, gives a command to the hands for the motor action and the final output is a readable product on the paper. Handwriting is an essential skill for children. Practicing handwriting is an incredibly important exercise for them, enabling them to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the brain and contributes to reading fluency. Good handwriting is important as in the modern world, in all walks of life, people are judged by their handwriting. To help the children focus on the skill of handwriting and to encourage them to always write a beautiful hand, a Handwriting Competition was organized. They were expected to write a passage in the given time and were instructed to present it neatly.

All the students participated with great enthusiasm and were keen to give their best. Some of the key parameters the judges took into account included presentation, legibility of the written content and the spacing between words. The effort put in by all of them was commendable. They put their best foot forward and wrote in a very neat handwriting.
