Digamber School celebrated Dussehra with a lot of religious zeal and fervor. The celebration marked the victory of Lord Rama over the evil king, Ravana and reinforced the message of the triumph of good over evil. The students were dressed in traditional Garba and Dandia attires which made an amazing visual delight for everyone to see and relish. The day started with the introduction of this festival by Ms.Prachi. She explained children to become pure and eliminate all the vices within. Students wrote their vices on paper slips and collected them in a box kept in front of the effigy of Ravana, to get rid of them with the end of Ravana. A spectacular Garba Competition was conducted between four houses showcasing various themes like Mor, Dhol, Dandia and Gujarati etc.
Azad House was declared as the winner of this competition and Subhash House secured the second position. A lively orchestra performance presented by Hobby Group charged up the atmosphere.
Honourable Chairperson addressed the children and suggested them to practice eight powers for the elevation of their lives. She also motivated children to follow all goods of life i.e. Think Good, Speak Good, Listen Good, See Good and Do Good. The celebration moved on with Garba. The positivity and energy exuberating out of the colourful costumes combined with the enthusiasm of dancing to the Garba folk songs made the entire day extremely successful and fruitful. All the students and staff members joined in the celebration, tapping to the spectacular music. The students went back thrilled to celebrate in the festive season at homes too. We wish all our students and their loved ones a very Happy and Prosperous Navratri and Dussehra.
