Activity-Making Thank You Greeting Card

Doctor’s Day in India was established by the Government of India in 1991 to be recognized and celebrated every year on 1 st of July as National Doctors day. It is celebrated on 1st of July to mark the birth and death anniversary of the most famous physician of India Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy (Dr B. C Roy). He was honoured with the great Indian civilian award called Bharat Ratna on 4th of February in 1961. It is a great observance in India which helps in fulfilling the actual need of doctors and physicians in the lives of everyone as well as their significant roles and responsibilities. The annual celebration of this awareness campaign helps common public to get aware about the roles, importance and the precious care of the doctors.

A special assembly was held on the occasion in order to express gratitude and respect to the doctors and thank all of them for all the care they take to make our life healthy and comfortable which was explained by Ms. Preeti Thakur. Students also had put an effort to express a heartfelt thanks to the entire doctor’s by making a thank you greeting card. Their cards read, & quoted “Thank You for your dedication to the care of others.”

Children participated with great enthusiasm. The cards they made showed their love and gratitude towards the life savers. A mixture of remarkable creativity and imagination was displayed by children.

The tiny tots of pre-primary created cards under the guidance of their mentors and gifted these cards to their respective family doctors thanking them for their immense love and support. This activity brought a positive ambiance and the mentors were left with nothing but to applaud their creations.

All the students came up with their artistic skills. The cards were decorated with various materials such as stickers, bindis, lace, kundan work, beads, metallic paints, glitter powder, sequences etc. Students used pop up card making technique to give the card 3D effect. The response for the event was overwhelming and each card was unique and beautiful showing the interest and creativity of each student. The students were praised for their meticulous and zealous efforts.
